ViewPort is a magazine style theme that will allow you to run your own online magazine, news, or editorial based site. ViewPort features a mobile-friendly, responsive design that will look good on any device or browser and is built with HTML5 and CSS3. ViewPort was originally designed by the amazing Orman Clark of PremiumPixels.com!

I can’t figure out to install this theme. I am a complete novice and purchased the bundle for $99. I have viewed the YouTube instructions but I’m miffed. Can you tell me how to get the ViewPort theme up and running on my website “LetsGetMoving.com?” Thanks, Connie
Connie,
First off, thanks for purchasing! You can see installation instructions for installing the theme here:
http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/how_to_install_add_ons_and_themes_/
You can see documentation for ViewPort here:
http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/themes/viewport/documentation/
Note: I havent created any ‘YouTube instructions’ so I’m not sure what you mean by that.
This is a nice looking theme, well done Chris.
That said, I looked at it on my smart phone (HTC One XL running Android 4.1 using default browser) and the demo site doesn’t seem to look any different on my phone as it does on the PC. I was hoping to see it automagically change layout and font sizes etc to compensate for the device. Is this something that would need to be turned on for a live site that isn’t on the demo? (FYI, same deal for Slate).
Seriously considering the Bundle, but need to get a few things like this sorted first. Thanks.
Cheers,
Brett…
It should resize. Try closing out the bar at the top of the window that has the c5mix logo and theme selector (click the X in the upper right hand corner). It could just be since the demo is loaded in an iframe that’s causing it to not scale down. Or you can go directly here to see the demo of ViewPort: http://c5mix.com/demos/theme/viewport/
Yep, that was it. Looks great.
Only (minor) concern to point out is there is a decent gap between the slider and the World News content. I don’t know if that is generic or related to this specific implementation, but I thought I’d point it out.
Thanks for pointing that out. I’ve fixed that in the demo and will add that to the next update.
