re: Removing/changing borders and headings

No worries!
I think you're talking about the tag. Chance the background-color and color on "hr" in the typography.css file.

re: Removing/changing borders and headings

Did you get the borders all set because they are a different color than default. Or am I missing something?

re: Changing colors in general

Yeah, there's a bunch of things you can change in the theme's customization panel. Go to Dashboard->Pages and Themes and click Customize button next to Structura. Any thing you would want to change that's not there would need to be changed in the theme's main.css file.

re: Nav Menu height & font size

You're welcome!

What "fix" to the menu are you referring to?

re: Theme customizations not applied to site

no problem! glad you got it sorted out!

re: Bundle

No, unfortunately it never will due to ThemeForest not allowing me to sell the theme any where but their site.

re: Theme customizations not applied to site

Matt,
First off are you using the "default" skin (you haven't change the skin to minimal or grunge have you? If so, the changes you make in the customization panel wont work because the stylesheet from the custom skins take precedence). If you are using the default skin, it could just be that you need to clear your site cache. Go to Dashboard->System & Settings->Clear Cache. You might also want to clear your browser cache.

re: Nav Menu height & font size

You need to adjust the "top" value on
.sf-menu li:hover ul, .sf-menu li.sfHover ul

re: Nav Menu height & font size

You need to adjust the font-size and padding properties on "nav ul li a" in the main.css file.

re: Top Navigation Responsive

In a future release I'm planning on changing the functionality of the navigation on mobile browsers to something similar to what's on this site: http://discovervictory.com/
Not sure when that update will be though yet.

re: Full width logo or removal of section above navigation

Glad you got it resolved! Let me know if you need anything else.

re: Number of columns on home page

In the home.php file (located at packages/theme_slate/themes/slate/home.php) you'll see three divs with a class of col_4 right in a row. Remove the last two divs and change the class of the remaining first one from col_4 to col_12

re: Slow Performance

Here's some threads I found about Autonav:
http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/usage/slow-page-load-with-auto-nav-lots-of-pages-to-load/
http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/chat/super-slow-site-can-someone-take-a-look-and-recommend-some-impro/

You might also want to upgrade to concrete5.6.1. It's cache system has been completely redone and is supposed to be better on performance.

re: Slow Performance

It's located at packages/theme_slate/themes/slate/js/fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.css

What "stuff" have you added to the site? Have you tried the Plain Yogurt theme now (since you've added stuff)?

re: Slow Performance

Just looked at your site and that is really slow. I'm thinking it's gotta be something with the host/server. I just don't see how it can be related to Slate. If you look at the demo of Slate on my server it's fast. http://c5mix.com/demos/theme/slate/

I would recommend you make those Fancybox changes though and see if that helps any.

I'm not sure if any shared hosts allow you to install APC. You can ask your host.

re: Slow Performance

Ah, that's because you purchased it from my site (c5mix.com) back then. Sorry, I didn't realize that.

Here's the content of that post:
Check out this article for a fix for the fancybox stuff:
http://www.resolved-technologies.com/javascript/fancybox-slow-in-ie/

As far as your site, yeah it seems a little slow. Here's some tips I would recommend:
http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/developers/five-easy-ways-to-speed-a-concrete5-site/

The biggest speed boost I've seen is installing APC on my server.

re: Slow Performance

You need to login with your concrete5.org account info and then you'll be able to see that page

re: Slow Performance

Can you take a look at this fix for fancybox and see if that's what may be slowing things down.

re: logo or sitename

It's because the #header has a set height on it and will cut off anything over that height (and the logo is taller than that. Try adding this to the Custom CSS box in the Customization panel (Dashboard->Pages and Themes and click Customize button next to Clearview)
#header {height:auto!important;}
